If you’re new to microgreens, or just looking to improve your skills, here are ten tips to help you get the most out of your microgreen growing experience:

Tips for Growing Microgreens Food Grower

.) Choose the right seeds: Select seeds that are specifically meant for growing microgreens. Some good options include broccoli, radish, and pea shoots.

.) Use good quality soil: Invest in a high-quality potting soil that is light and airy. Avoid using garden soil, as it may contain disease-causing organisms.

.) Keep the soil moist: Water your microgreens regularly to keep the soil moist but not waterlogged. Use a spray bottle to avoid disturbing the delicate seeds.

.) Provide adequate light: Microgreens need plenty of light to grow properly. Place them in a sunny spot or use grow lights if you don’t have access to natural sunlight.

.) Optimise the temperature: Microgreens prefer a temperature range of 15-24°C  (60-75°F). If your home is too cold, consider using a heat mat to provide warmth.

.) Space them out: Give your microgreens plenty of room to grow by spacing them out in their containers. This will also help prevent mould and disease.

.) Harvest at the right time: Microgreens are ready to harvest when they have developed their first true leaves. Use sharp scissors to snip them at soil level.

.) Store properly: Keep your harvested microgreens in a sealed container in the refrigerator. They should last for several days.

.) Experiment with different varieties: Don’t be afraid to try different types of seeds to find your favourites. Mix and match flavours and textures to create your perfect microgreen salad.

.) Have fun: Growing microgreens can be a fun and rewarding experience. Enjoy the process and don’t be discouraged by any setbacks. Remember, practice makes perfect!
